Oxnard Man Pleads Guilty to DUI Car Accident in Ventura

Reports indicate that California Highway Patrol officers “started receiving a flurry of 9-1-1 calls reporting a VW Jetta traveling about 80 mph SB in the NB lanes around State Beaches.” Bouchard, who was driving the speeding VW Jetta, then crashed into a Nissan Versa that was going northbound on the Freeway, north of Seaward Avenue. Both the driver and a passenger in the Nissan Versa were killed in the fatal DUI-related car accident. The victims were reported to have been two males ages 52 and 55 from Santa Barbara. Bouchard, who was sentenced on March 11, was not seriously injured in the accident.
