Local Ventura authorities have identified the victim of a serious and fatal accident that occurred last month. According to local news reports covering the story, the terrible accident that occurred along California’s Highway 101 in Ventura on Sunday, April 6, claimed the life of 58-year-old motorcycle rider, Philip G. Wenker, of Thousand Oaks, California.

Reports indicate that at the time of the fatal motorcycle accident, Wenker was riding an Indian Scout motorcycle northbound on Highway 101 when an accident involving several other vehicles occurred. A Tesla Model 3 and two BMW sedans were reported to have been involved in a collision just north of California Street at around 2:45 p.m. The Tesla and one BMW had slowed for traffic on the highway due to a previous accident, when another BMW rear-ended one of the two vehicles, causing a chain reaction. Wenker was unable to slow down in time and struck the Tesla Model 3. Wenker was thrown from his motorcycle, and he died after being rushed to the hospital.
